As a reminder, the protection of geographical indications for artisanal and industrial products has been strengthened at European level, following the example of that already granted to agricultural products, foodstuffs, wines and spirits.<\/p>\n

The draft regulation concerning these products, approved by the European Parliament on September 12, 2023, has just been adopted by the Council of the European Union. Regulation (EU) 2023\/2411 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 18, 2023 amending Regulations (EU) 2017\/1001 and (EU) 2019\/1753 was published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) of October 27, 2023.<\/p>\n
