ADELPHE IP CONSOLIDATES ITS EXPERTISE IN WINE SECTOR TRADE MARKS

Pierre Roger, Industrial Property Attorney at ADELPHE IP, participated in a workshop on winery trade marks organised on 5 March 2024, by the Trade Marks and Geographical Indications Committee of the French Patent and Trademark Attorneys’ Institute (Compagnie Nationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle – CNCPI).

This training course was led by Professor Ronan Raffray, who is Director of the Masters Level 2 programme on Vine and Wine Law (“Droit de la vigne et du vin”) at the University of Bordeaux and a member of the education and training board of the Institute of Vine and Wine Science (Institut des Sciences de la Vigne et du Vin – ISVV).

The session, which was extremely well-researched, served as an opportunity both to take stock of the evolving legislation and case law relating to wine trade marks, and to address the issue of compliance in respect of protected geographical indications (PGIs). Adelphe IP, as reflected through such participation thus remains committed to further deepening its expertise in the wine sector.
