ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI ACT) AND THE EUROPEAN UNION
On February 2, 2024, the Member States of the European Union approved the proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down harmonized rules on artificial intelligence (AI Act).
Regulating artificial intelligence in the European Union, this regulation aims to “ensure that fundamental rights, democracy, the rule of law and environmental sustainability are protected from the risks AI”.
