INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY – CHINA
Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) agreement signed between France and China – On June 1, 2023, the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) agreement signed between the French “Institut national de la propriété industrielle” (INPI) and the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) came into force.
This agreement, which aims to speed up the granting of patents between both countries, is the sixth signed by the INPI, following on from those already in force with the Japan Patent Office (JPO), the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO).
